StrikeLM and FrontLobby
How StrikeLM compares to FrontLobby for Canadian landlords: order-backed arrears reporting versus a broader rent-reporting platform, and how to decide.
Different starting points
StrikeLM reports one thing: eligible rent arrears confirmed by a final court or tribunal order, submitted to Equifax Canada and TransUnion Canada for $99 CAD per claim. We do not report ordinary monthly rent-payment history.
FrontLobby distinguishes rent reporting for current tenants from debt reporting for former tenants. Its Canadian landlord pricing page (checked October 6, 2026) shows a free basic membership and a Premium membership at $19.92/month billed annually. Debt reporting is listed at $199.99 for basic members and $99.99 for premium members, with no court order required. FrontLobby also lists a collection service at $0 upfront and 40% of the amount recovered. Prices are subject to change; confirm on FrontLobby's official page.
Decision points
Court order: StrikeLM requires a final court or tribunal order for unpaid rent; FrontLobby states debt reporting does not require one.
Cost for a single debt: StrikeLM is $99 CAD with no membership. FrontLobby lists $199.99 on basic or $99.99 with a Premium membership (checked October 6, 2026).
Collection: StrikeLM does not collect. FrontLobby lists a collection service at 40% of the amount recovered.
Questions to ask any service
Is the service reporting ongoing payment history or a specific unpaid debt? Does it require a tribunal order? What does it cost per tenant or per claim? Does it involve the tenant during the tenancy?
When StrikeLM fits
StrikeLM fits after a tenancy has ended badly and you already hold a final order for unpaid rent, and you want a single submission rather than an ongoing account.
