British Columbia: reporting RTB monetary orders
BC landlords with a Residential Tenancy Branch monetary order for unpaid rent can have eligible arrears submitted to Equifax and TransUnion Canada.
Where the order comes from
In British Columbia, the Residential Tenancy Branch (RTB) resolves most landlord and tenant disputes. Through dispute resolution, a landlord can obtain a monetary order for unpaid rent.
Enforcing a monetary order is a separate step handled through the Provincial Court. Reporting to the credit bureaus does not replace enforcement; it records the debt.
What qualifies
The order must be final and confirm unpaid rent. Orders only for possession, or decisions still under review, are not ready to submit. Our intake checks your document before payment.
